Hey everyone, it’s been a while I know. I’ve either been busy, unmotivated, tired, working, out, or a mixture of the above.

Bought myself a new tent so hopefully will get to use it soon, want to make the most of my long weekends over the next few months and take it out more often. Last season I was using a blue and white dome from Tesco, now got a proper one, which is a bottle green Vango Omega 450 with large porch area and a cool bright orange sleeping area (Omega 450 isn’t on the Vango site but is the same size as the Beta 450), picked up the last tent of stock from Go Outdoors in Coventry so that was good. The tent is slightly smaller than the Tesco one but better quality, faster to pitch and nicer looking.

Also bought a matching windbreak, an improvement on the stripy seaside ones I was using before. Of course much time has been spent in Go Outdoors and Jackson’s of Arley, my two favourite outdoorsy shops.

Seen N a few times recently, been fun :)

Work has been pretty chaotic recently, with the holiday traffic and numerous accidents clogging up out roads. Got two early starts tomorrow and wednesday then 11 days off, that break is well needed, just hope the weather holds up.

I’ll try post a bit more often, I also don’t get chance to comment on other blogs as much as I’d like too but I do read.

Hope everyone else is well.

  1. N as in the girl you went to see Shrek with, right? GREAT, will be checking to know if there is progress.

  2. When I said we were going camping I didn’t expect you to buy an entire shop…. :|

  3. Yep Violet, that’s her lol :) Katy, the shop is so big that would be impossible! They don’t have a trolley big enough. Really just replacing old stuff with better stuff, which should see me through this year at least. Until more new stuff comes out next year.

  4. Gooutdoors must be doing pretty well out of bloggers at the moment. I just bought a Vango tent off them as well (Omega 300+ in case you’re a tent anorak). Big enough for me and The Hound anyway and it should arrive in time for me to go to Arran at the weekend. I thought I was getting a bargain until I decided to buy a ‘Buffalo’ top of them as well. Ouch!

  5. The problem with shops like G.O. is that you just have to pop in again, for a browse…always end up walking out with something! Even though I have my new tent I still need to walk around the tent displays, some impressive stuff there.
Compare a tent to the price of a mortgage, or even a hotel room, and you definitely have a bargain I’d say!

  6. i love camping with my family and dog (another child) the great outdoors
