Author ArchiveJust had an attempt at strawberry and mango jam, and although it’s still cooling it tastes pretty good. About 300g strawberries, 200g mango, all chopped up. A squeeze of half a lemon and 500g jam sugar. The mango pieces didn’t pulp very well so still quite chunky, which is fine as they were chopped small anyway, but I like smooth jam so next time I think I’ll run it briefly through the blender before boiling. That’ll probably add more mango flavour throughout it too. As someone who drives around for hours a day I notice a growing trend with motorists - wonky headlights. It seems like it’s the latest fashion to drive a car around with uneven headlights. I’m guessing the rules are thus:
I may of course be totally wrong; it could be that some drivers are too dumb/idle to fix bulbs, that some cars require a degree in mechanics, rocket science and fingers like Freddie Krueger to access the bulbs, or that garages charge a fortune plus a few hours labour to put them right. A nice new installation of Wordpress, using fantastico this time so should be easier to update it. Plus a lot more behind the scenes stuff, plenty still to do. Stay tuned isnit.

Has blogging died? The future…Posted by: Nik in Site News, Weblog, tags: Bebo, blog, community, Facebook, Flickr, Myspace, social networking, Wordpress, YouTubeYou may notice I rarely post on here anymore. I’m not the only one, probably 90% of all other blogs I’ve read in the past are no longer active (lying idle or totally erased). So I’m not sure whether I should change the direction of this personal website (twistedkites.co.uk). It seems that everything is covered by the various social networking sites. Bebo and MySpace include blogs. Flickr is great for photos. YouTube covers the videos. Facebook covers everything (that’s where I’m most active these days). Not only that but various fan sites include profiles and other community features. Should I concentrate on the social networking side instead? Maybe I could turn this site around to group together my presence from all other sites that I am active on, and maybe just add my own various pieces on here as and when needed. As much as I’ve enjoyed using Wordpress for running my website, I could possibly switch to something simpler. Maybe open up parts of the website for friends and family to use too? Lots to ponder.
