Went bowling again but could not beat my score. Although 125 isn’t bad. I swear the lane was wonky.

Seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Very dark and quite funny.

Bought myself a new car entertainment unit (the term ‘radio’ doesn’t really fit) which replaces this one (on my old blog, scroll down a bit). It’s modern, it’s shiny, looks gorgeous, and it actually has NO CD player built in. I’ll explain with a few piccies in another entry.

Started to update my iTunes music collection. Upgrading all my tracks from 128 kbps AAC to 256 kbps AAC. So that’s a lot of re-ripping CDs to do over the next however-long-it-takes.

Worked nights. And played that usual game of Dodge The Pissheads in Manchester at Midnight. You’d think a 50 foot coach would be encouragement enough for them to get out of the way, but it’s usually the opposite. And the Prestonians are no better.

Tried the new orange flavoured Coca Cola. Wasn’t expecting much, but it was actually really nice! The taste combination was just about right. Good job it’s delicious because it was BOGOF at Morrisons on 6-packs so I have a dozen cans of the stuff.

Went to Lakeside Bowl in Nuneaton today. Second time bowling today in many months… hardly good at it by any means…but I surprised myself in today’s second game. 152! Proof…

After that (and playing on the other games including flinging the air hockey puck far across the room many times) we had a meal at Bermuda. Even though in there a bunch of gypos were kicking off, police cars, police van and ambulance turned up. No idea what it was about, they were yacking/moaning/yelling in that funny gypo language. Then more turned up (actually in a paving compny van!) and others were throwing glasses at it. Which the staff in t-shirts had to scoop up from the car park in pouring rain. One of the coppers was a huge mean-looking black fella, bet they didn’t mess with him! He seemed to be playing bouncer for a bit. Good old British entertainment.

After three early starts at work, a normal but short shift (1300 to 2010) today to Leeds and Sheffield-By-The-Sea. Nice girl on the front seat coming back down. Horrible rain again though.

Isn’t it annoying when it’s raining so car drivers see fit to put on their rear fog lights? I think that anybody that does this should be banned from driving for life. Well if they can’t differentiate between fog and rain, surely they don’t have the intelligence level required to drive safely.

Had a nice evening out last night (yes, after the early shift start!), went for a couple of games of bowling, the bar, a nice pub meal and then to see Shrek the Third (great film btw) with my friend, his fiancee and their friend who seems really nice, quite easy going and possibly as quiet as me. We’ll all be meeting up again at the weekend hopefully.

So nice just to get out for the evening too with good people, feels like ages! Have to start making a habit of it again.
