I know I’ve not been posting much lately. (But then again not many do, my RSS feed blog updates hardly differ these days!)

I’ll try to try harder. Maybe if I can find a Mac OS widget or something for Wordpress it might help.

I’m sitting at Preston depot (got 4 hours here in the middle of the night), plugged the Macbook into the WWW with my 3 dongle, sorting my blog, listening to the iPod. I’ll have to use these lulls to blog more often if I’m struggling.

Anyway work has been busier than usual, my relationship is going beautifully (we’re both going to Ireland for a 5-night break next week, can’t wait), car is running well.

Also recovering from a cold, quite annoying but not tragic.

Regular readers (if there are any left that haven’t disappeared into the void themselves), keep on at me to keep updating. How is everyone doing?

Guess it’s about time I made a blog entry. Nobody seems to be blogging lately and I suppose the lack of activity rubs off on me.

Work has been very busy, especially with the summer holidays, plus some new services and the move into Victoria Coach Station in London.

Things are going great with Nicola, we have so much in common and get along brilliantly. Someone like that is just really good for me, and vice versa I believe.

Just been away together for a few days in the Lake District, staying in Ambleside at a B&B called Lakes Lodge. The lodge was lovely, think of a hotel set in a guest house atmosphere, right in the centre of Ambleside which is a lovely little town. Plus we had a four poster bed which wasn’t expected at all.

Highlights were drives out along mountain passes, wandering around Bowness-on-Windermere, cruising on Windermere, seeing Beatrix Potter’s house, spending time in Carlisle and having a meal at the stunning Kirkstone Pass Inn.

Made the most of the drive there too, driving through Birmingham, the Wirral and Liverpool with a nice stop at Southport, then through Preston on the way up, returning through Lancaster, Manchester, Stockport and stopping at Buxton, then through Lichfield on the way back home. No point in rushing is there!

Of course, I have plenty of photos. Might even put some up here when I get chance.

I’ll try and post again soon, hope you are all well.

This weekend I…

Went bowling again but could not beat my score. Although 125 isn’t bad. I swear the lane was wonky.

Seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Very dark and quite funny.

Bought myself a new car entertainment unit (the term ‘radio’ doesn’t really fit) which replaces this one (on my old blog, scroll down a bit). It’s modern, it’s shiny, looks gorgeous, and it actually has NO CD player built in. I’ll explain with a few piccies in another entry.

Started to update my iTunes music collection. Upgrading all my tracks from 128 kbps AAC to 256 kbps AAC. So that’s a lot of re-ripping CDs to do over the next however-long-it-takes.

Worked nights. And played that usual game of Dodge The Pissheads in Manchester at Midnight. You’d think a 50 foot coach would be encouragement enough for them to get out of the way, but it’s usually the opposite. And the Prestonians are no better.

Tried the new orange flavoured Coca Cola. Wasn’t expecting much, but it was actually really nice! The taste combination was just about right. Good job it’s delicious because it was BOGOF at Morrisons on 6-packs so I have a dozen cans of the stuff.
